Tickets for the 2015 Cordova Mall Ball are now available for purchase. The 20th annual Mall Ball will be held Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, from 8 p.m. to midnight at Cordova Mall in Pensacola to benefit sick and injured children at The Children's Hospital at Sacred Heart. The event is coordinated by the Krewe of Les Petits Enfants (Order of the Small Children) and presented by Wendy's.
Six bands are scheduled for this year’s event: Reunion Band, Starz, A Flock of Sea Monkeys, Trunk Monkey, Mass Kunfuzion and Emerge. A New Orleans-style French Market with jazz music is planned as part of the Mardi-Gras style festivities.
More than 25 restaurants will provide food, and a silent auction will be part of the fun, including vacation packages, jewelry, art, golf packages and much more. The committee is seeking donations of items for the silent auction. If you wish to donate items, such as a weekend at a beach house or cabin, golf outing, art or jewelry, contact Mallory Wilson at 416-4661.
Tickets are $60 per person in advance; $65 per person at the door. Tables of eight are available for $495 and must be reserved in advance. You may purchase a chair at a Community Table in the band areas. Individual Community Table tickets are $70 each. There are a limited number of these particular tickets available. Prices increase after Jan. 9, 2015.
You must be 21 or older to attend, and IDs will be checked at the door. Dress is costume or black tie optional (no denim). A printable ticket-reservation form is available online at www.sacred-heart.org/mallball, or tickets may be purchased by phone by calling 416-7415.
Every year, Cordova Mall closes early to allow volunteers to set up for the event, an expression of mall officials’ and shop owners’ dedication to the health of our community’s children. Last year, the Cordova Mall Ball raised more than $342,000. Net proceeds were used to purchase a pediatric surgical ventilator.
During the past 19 years, the event has generated more than $3.4 million in proceeds on behalf of sick and injured children at The Children's Hospital at Sacred Heart, a hospital dedicated to the care of children for more than 45 years. It is the only pediatric facility in the region and provides a number of pediatric sub-specialists in partnership with Nemours Children's Clinic.
