The Milton Garden Club’s award to a homeowner for September goes to Faye and Ronal Smith of 5797 Westmont Road, Milton. When Faye and Rondal moved into their house there was nothing in the yard. They now have three lovely, shady oak trees and seven crepe myrtles in a row on the side of their lot. There are also azaleas, two sago palms, two large nandina bushes, loaded with berries, a hydrangea, white dogwood tree, two white rose of Sharon, five red roses, blooming liriope, and one tall palm tree. Faye likes to place turtles and squirrels in amongst her plants. The front porch has beautiful wrought iron furniture, including a settee, two chairs and two tables. Her front door sports a grapevine wreath with flowers. The mailbox is surrounded by sweet smelling jasmine. Congratulations to Faye and Rondal for maintaining a lovely, bright green lawn and gardens.
