Worley leads Milton

Central’s Haley Gauthier’s power serves ignited the Jaguars Monday night, Sept. 22nd at home. The Jaguars beat Rocky Bayou.

Volleyball season is in its sixth week of play for area high schools.

Milton hosted West Florida Tech Tuesday night, Sept. 23. The Panthers handed them a loss in three easy sets  25-20, 25-23 and 25-19.

After Monday’s night win the Panthers have 5 wins and 7 losses overall. In their 1-6A district they are 4 wins and 3 losses.

Mikaela Worley 17 kills, 2 assists, 6 digs, 1 block

Rebekah Wachob 8 kills, 1 dig, 2 blocks

Jayci Floyd 3 kills, 2 assists, 5 digs, 5 blocks

Hannah Wingate 2 aces, 4 kills, 26 assists, 4 digs, 1 block

Mallory Bramel 2 aces, 4 digs, 1 block

Breanna McAnally 1 ace, 6 digs

The previous night Milton had traveled to Navarre. Each of the four sets were extremely close. Worley finished the four matches with 1 ace, 22 kills, 3 assists, 21 digs. Wingate put up 37 assists for her panthers in the loss. Milton fell 24-26, 25-17, 30-28, and 25-21.

After back-to-back games Worley had complied 39 kills and 27 digs. Wingate kept the ball in play with 63 assists for her teammates.

Jay

Jay was on the road for back-to-back games Monday and Tuesday, Sept. 22 and 23. The Royals lost in five exciting matches against the Laurel Hill Hoboes 25-23, 20-25, 25-19, 29-27 and 9-15.  Against Freeport the Royals were defeated 19-25, 20-25 and 18-25.
