The APA of Santa Rosa County hosted a tournament and silent auction Saturday at Oops Alley benefitting the SRC chapter of Shoes that Fit. Debbie Torgerson, with the charity for the last 10 years said she wanted to thank everybody who took part in the tournament. “Without the support of businesses, it wouldn’t have happened,” she said. Cynde Watson, a go-to APA member with the SRC league said the league used to hold tournaments for prize money alone. “Once we started [holding tournaments] for charity, the board filled up.” She said before the auction, the league raised $965 from registered teams and donations.
