Milton City Councilwoman-elect Ashley Lay holds a red rose in honor of Good Neighbor Day in Santa Rosa County. The Open Rose Florist will be giving away over 6,000 beautiful roses and needs the help of the community to follow through Wednesday. Everyone is invited to stop by the shop at 6434 Open Rose Drive, Milton to pick up a dozen roses, free of charge. Each recipient must pledge to keep one and share the rest with 11 other unsuspecting people. All the neighborly cheer starts at 8 a.m.
