The Florida Panhandle Regent’s Council Meeting was held August 23, 2014 at Jim’s Buffet and Grill in Marianna, FL. The Council includes Regents and Chapter members from the National Society Daughters of the American Revolution (NSDAR) from Tallahassee to Pensacola. Three Rivers Chapter attendees were Wilma Scofield, Hellen Hunter, Karen Young and Ann Smith. Council President Alice Clay (St. Andrew Bay Chapter) presided over the meeting. Items discussed were the April 2014 State Conference, DAR Project Patriot, American History Activities, the Website, and the American Spirit Ad. New officers elected were: President – Maryann Wyrick, Vice President – Suzanne Terry, Secretary – Cynthia Wilson, Treasurer – Sharon Wilkerson, and Chaplain – Sherrie DeBoer. They were sworn in by Barbara Makant. The next Panhandle Regents’ Council meeting will be January 24, 2015.
