A Pace man was arrested Sunday, Santa Rosa Sheriff’s Office said for an incident that happened on Ninth Avenue, Pace in May. Reports said Daniel Tyler Nall struck a pedestrian twice with his vehicle and stopped to confront them and got in a fight with the victim. Deputies report two people, a man and his daughter, were walking along University Street towards Ninth Avenue when a dark colored vehicle travelling at a high rate of speed came towards them. Reports said the victim made hand gesters to get the driver to slow down and his hand was struck by the vehicle’s driver side mirror. Deputies said the vehicle came to a stop, turned around and struck him again, knocking the victim to the ground. Reports said he was hit on the right portion of his body. The victim stood up and ran towards the car’s driver’s side and retrieved the keys out of the ignition. It was at this point, reports said, the fight began. Nall and the victim were separated by another witness, the victim’s friend, whose house was just beyond the scene. The witness said he saw the car driving fast, and heard the victim yelling from inside of his house for him to slow down, reports said. The witness also told SRSO he saw the victim walking beyond his house and saw the car pull up in front of his residence and saw the exchange, which brought him to the scene of the incident to break up the fight. Nall was arrested and charged with aggravated battery, cause bodily harm or disability and is currently in the Santa Rosa County Jail with $15,000 bond.
