A Jefferson Davis Tea was celebrated on June 21, hosted by Simpson Mounted Rangers #2685, Milton chapter of the United Daughters of the Confederacy. The ladies wore picture hats reminiscent of the gracious Ante Bellum era. The fun and festive event took place at the fellowship hall of the historic First United Methodist Church of Bagdad. Mrs. Albert Moran (Shay) poured tea, and dainty, delectable finger foods and punch were self served. Others sharing in the event were: Mr. & Mrs. Philip Pfeiffer, Mrs. Garland Hall, Wilene Thompson, Jan Davis, Carolyn McDuffy, Ann Wallace, Doris Russell, Suzanne Terry, Linda Smith, Glenda Manis, Marie Redmon, Lucille Champion, Holley Cannon, Shirley Agnew, and Carolyn Brown.
