Hi, I’m calling from Munson. I’m a pretty good mechanic myself. I’m getting a little too old and started taking my vehicles to Milton Motor Works. I just want to tell the people he’s a very fine man. He has no added charges and will tell you what you need and what can wait. He’s got good manners and he’s very friendly. I appreciate the businesses in Milton and I really do appreciate this guy. He won’t try to fool you and I just wanted to give him my compliments and let the people in Milton know where he is. Milton Motor Works on Caroline Street. I thank you.

This is Mary, a concerned senior citizen. I’m wondering about this pot sale and all the states that are legalizing the stuff. Why don’t the medical profession, the military, and the law enforcement speak out because we’re going to have generation of pot heads? This stuff is not supposed to be legalized. It’s no good and as far as seizures, the one or two people in the United States that want to take it for that, there’s other drugs and other ways to control seizures. There always has been and I’m wondering why these people in authority don’t speak out and stop it. We don’t need it legal in Florida. We don’t need it legal in the United States at all.

This is Bobby. I was reading the long letter about the courthouse being the cornerstone of downtown Milton. Well, when I was growing up that was true, but they had banks downtown, stores downtown. In the courthouse they had the sheriff’s office, all the tax office, the tag office, the driver’s license. Everything was in the courthouse, so people were coming and going. Right now it won’t draw anything but people going to trial and a few lawyers. If you want to make Milton better, you could probably tear the courthouse down and use a lot of that for parking and maybe make a park, and have things right there in the middle of town. A courthouse doesn’t make a town. There’s only one in each county and there are a lot of little towns in each county that do just as well. As far as the roadblocks and too much traffic, there’s going to be traffic whether it’s in East Milton, West Milton, North Milton, or downtown Milton. And in East Milton you could go from Milton, get on the interstate and come around and it would probably be better. As far as the courthouse, its fine with me if they want to build it there but it’s not going to save downtown Milton when it’s closed on the weekends. There’s nothing in there but court. It’s not like it used to be.
