New update: Suspect captured in triple homicide

Derrick Ray Thompson, 41, Pensacola arrested early Tuesday morning in the slaying of three homicides; two in Milton and one in Bay County.

Derrick Ray Thompson, 41, was captured without incident early Tuesday morning, according to Bay County Sheriff's Office. He was arrested without incident in Troy,Alabama. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office released a statement Tuesday saying SRSO Major Crimes Division discovered the location of a hunting camp where Thompson was found and alerted Pike County Sheriff's Office to be on the lookout for the suspect. SRSO reports Thompson confessed to the double homicide in Milton as well as the slaying in Bay County. Thompson was wanted for the slaying of Allen Johnson, Bay County, Florida and Steven and Debra Zackowski, Milton. Look for more information in Wednesday's edition of the Santa Rosa Press Gazette.

Derrick Ray Thompson is wanted for questioning in connection of another death in Bay County, Florida. Monday afternoon, Bay County Sheriff's Office reported Thompson is suspected in the death of Allen Johnson, Wilson Avenue, Bay County. Authorities believe Thompson is driving Johnson's truck as Thompson left his vehicle at the Johnson's residence. The license plate is VY015. The vehicle is described as a silver Toyota Tacoma. Bay County Sheriff's Office reports Thompson is likely armed. 

Reports said Johnson is the owner of  adult establishements in Bay County. 

Thompson is also wanted for questioning in the double homicide of Steven Zackowski, 60 and Debra Zackowski, 59, Milton. They were found shot to death in their home Sunday morning on Goliath Road.
