The Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office reports arresting and charging Dennis Shane Caraway, 40, of Milton with two counts of Intimidation Write Send Threat to Kill or Injure. According to reports, the Sheriff's Office dispatched a deputy regarding harassing text messages. The victim reported upon leaving King Buffet in Pensacola with the other victim, Caraway attacked them in the parking lot. Reports said the first victim called 911 and Escambia County deputies responded but Caraway left before they arrived. According to reports, the victim said Caraway sent text messages around 8:50 p.m. Saturday, which became threatening by 6 a.m. the following morning. The victim reported Caraway sent messages saying he would kill both victims and was actively looking for them. Both victims reported being afraid for their lives. Reports said the second victim corroborated the testimony of the first and supplied a cell phone to the deputy showing the messages from Caraway. Reports said the deputy found Caraway cutting grass and arrested without incident for stalking by harassing text messages. Currently, the Santa Rosa County jail is holding Caraway with a $40,000 bond.
