The Military Officer’s Association of America, MOAA, presented its annual scholarships to the 2014 outstanding JROTC cadets of Santa Rosa County on June 26 at the monthly membership meeting. The cadets were selected based on criteria of excellence in all areas of their academic, JROTC, and community activities. MOAA’s president, Joel Segraves, made the presentations to Katherine Bradley of Pace High School and BreAnna Singleton of Gulf Breeze High School. Both students plan to attend the University of West Florida this fall semester. MOAA is an organization dedicated to the enrichment of the military community and the local JROTC programs, and they invite all active and retired military officers and their spouses to their monthly meeting held the fourth Thursday of every month.
