The League of Women Voters of Florida announces the re-launch of its award-winning mobile website BeReadyToVote.org, an all-inclusive site for Florida voters seeking information on the upcoming elections.
BeReadytoVote.org, available in both English and Spanish, enables smartphone users to access their personal voter registration information on the go, and find out what will appear on their ballot. The site has been updated with fresh content for the 2014 elections.
"Carrying the League's trusted brand, this new updated mobile website will help voters be prepared and informed," said Florida League President Deirdre Macnab. "We're making it easy for every eligible voter to be informed, and make sure their voice is heard," she added, pointing out that the 2014 site will include one of voters' favorite features: the League's "pros and cons" on the proposed constitutional amendments that will appear on the November ballot.
For the primary election, voters will be able to access sample ballots through their Supervisor of Elections' website, no matter where they live in Florida, using the BeReadyToVote mobile website.
"Now voters have immediate access to information about their voting precincts, the three ways to vote in Florida, and how to contact their local Supervisor of Elections if there is a question about their voter status," says the League's Voter Service Chair Charley Williams. "BeReadyToVote is a one-stop shop for every voter – all the information you need before Election Day, right there on your smartphone."
As of July 4th, there will be 25 days left to register in order to vote in the August 26 primary election, and the League urges every voter to make sure their voice is heard. Visit BeReadyToVote.org to make sure you are prepared and informed before Election Day.
