Santa Rosa County Commissioner Bob Cole was recognized by Governor Rick Scott and Congressman Jeff Miller for his military service and received a medal from Governor Scott. Cole said three hundred veterans from all branches of service received the medal at the National Guard Armory at Ellison Field. “I was very impressed with Governor Scott,” said Cole. “He spent the time to thank each veteran personally and placed the award around each of their necks himself,” he said. As county commissioner, Cole was able to shake each veteran’s hand in a receiving line before they received their award from Governor Scott.
