Nine-year-old Jarett Upson prepares for the first round of 10U All-Star Baseball. The 10U team from Gospel Projects will be competing in their first tournament today, Saturday June 7th in Gulf Breeze. The teams consist of primarily ten year olds, with some eight and nine year old players whose skills were advanced enough to tryout and join the 10 year olds.
The team is coached by Mike Melvin, “I have a lot of fun with the boys,” he shared.
All-Star games throughout Northwest Florida will begin tournament action today.
Upson attends Rhodes Elementary and played regular season baseball for the Gospel Projects Athletics team.
