BOLO: Emerald Sands meth lab person of interest

Wednesday morning deputies responded to the Emerald Sands Inn on Hwy 90 regarding a fire. Subsequent investigation led Santa Rosa Sheriff's Office to believe the fire was caused by an active meth lab. Reports said there were no known injuries and suspects fled the area. There was minimal property damage to the hotel property. According to reports, the fire marshal responded to the scene. The Santa Rosa County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics unit is looking for Derek Anthony Gonzales, who is a person of interest whom investigators believe may have information and may have been involved in this incident. Gonzales is 5’7 180 lbs. His last known address is on Mary St. Milton. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Santa Rosa County Narcotics unit at 850-981-2140
