Three Rivers Chapter, NSDAR May awards

May awardees are Hellen Hunter, Caroline Pepa, Regent Suzanne Terry, Vice Regent Janice Malone, Ann Smith and Wilma Scofield.

The Three Rivers Chapter, Daughters of the American Revolution, held their May meeting on May 10, 2014 at the 1st Baptist Church Family Life Center in Milton. Vice Regent Janice Malone presented the program on the “History of Mother’s Day” and “Symbols of America.” Refreshments were served by Roxie Platt, Mary Kate Williams, Karen Young and Ann Smith.

                Four new members were inducted into the Chapter – Peggy Carnley, Shirley Huffman, Vickey Baggott and Patricia Wariner. State and Chapter Awards were presented to Hellen Hunter, Caroline Pepa, Regent Suzanne Terry, Janice Malone, Ann Smith and Wilma Scofield. David Hunter, a HODAR (Husband of DAR member Hellen Hunter), was also presented an award for his helping hand throughout the year. Annual reports were given, and food and donations were brought for Fisher House, Wounded Military Men and Women and the USO.
