AvalonBeachProperty Owners Association

The Avalon Beach Property Owners Association will meet on Wednesday, May 21, at 7 p.m. at the Mulat Fire Station on the corner of Mulat Road and Sterling Way.  The association addresses the needs of all residents in the Avalon Beach area and is open to all residents north of I-10 and South of Mulat Road from Escambia Bay to 38th St. on the east side of Avalon.  This meeting will specifically address the development of a website for association members to evaluate and recommend local businesses.  For more information about the association, call 995-7056.

Bowl-a-Thon

Pace Chamber of Commerce 3rd Annual Bowl-a-Thon will be Thursday, May 22, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Oops Alley, Highway 90, Pace. A portion of the bowl-a-thon goes to PHS Scholarship fund. Cost is $200 for a 4 person team and includes dinner buffet, unlimited tea and soda, bowling and shoe rental. There is a 24 team limit. For more information email admin@pacechamber.com

Santa Rosa County Bridges out of Poverty yard sale

Getting Ahead yard sale will take place Saturday, May 24.   Donations can be made by dropping off your donated items between 4-8 p.m. on Friday, May 23 at Parkmore Plaza Shopping Center.  If you have items to pick up, please contact Jim Marcombe at 623-4678 or email jmarcomb@bellsouth.net   They are also in need of volunteers to help set up on Friday, to work the sale on Saturday, and to help break down Saturday afternoon.

Santa RosaMedical Centeris hosting a luncheon for all former employees and retired personnel. The luncheon will be on Saturday, June 28, 11:30 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Santa Rosa Medical Center's Locklin Building. RSVP to 623-6172 leave message if you plan to attend.

Pace Fire and Rescue conducting annual picture fund drive

The Pace Fire and Rescue District is conducting their annual Picture Fund Drive for 2014.  The proceeds will go toward their local benevolent fund which helps citizens and businesses in the Pace area that are displaced.  To achieve this goal, Chief Donnie Wadkins asks for every household within the Pace Fire/Rescue area to support this effort.  The drive will continue through June 1.
