Florida Forest Service crews responded to seven wildfires Wednesday; 15 acres were on fire in the Garcon Point area. Bagdad Volunteer Fire Department was on scene for structure defense at the Garcon Point, Bon Bay fire. Authorities at the fire said recent rains made for wet conditions and made it difficult for heavy equipment to stabilize. Other Santa Rosa County brush fires were located at Dickerson City, Bracken Road West, Bob Pitts Road and Delores, FWC Fish Hatchery, Oil Well, and Bracken Road East.
