Hey this is Dennis. In America we have private land, state land, and federal land. I do not believe state and federal land should not be raped of their natural resources timber, coal or fuel, but it seems that our federal government is on a steady pace to cut off our access to these public lands. What we the people used to access for free now we must pay a fee and in some cases we are totally denied access. These state and federal lands are referred to as public lands. I do not believe the federal government has the right to deny the public access to these lands. After all, it is our, we the people's, land. On the other hand, we must treat this land, state and federal, with the utmost respect.

Yeah, this is Dale from beautiful downtown Mulat. I just wanted to say I felt kinda sorry for the lady there at GM for coming in when she came in when she did having all, right after I seen what attorney they hired. I don't really care know if they have to drag out the old horse and buggy mold and start from scratch the way he done BP. So have a good day. Keep our troops in your prayers, young and old.

This is Billy Rogers in Blackwater. This message is for the person who dumped the large load of garbage, litter, cabinetry, and computer towers in my driveway on Saturday morning. I have some pictures that I'd love to identify. If you let me know who you are, I'll bring it back to you. If anyone knows anybody who's remodeled or rebuilt or cleaned out a rental place or a house in the Munson area, that's got all this stuff, call speak out.

This is Jesse from Pace. My daughter lives in Milton, Saratoga in Park Avenue and they've fixed some roads a while back, but they've got some big ones again. It’s messing with the alignment of her truck. If somebody's coming, you can't miss them. Would somebody please fix them if you wouldn’t mind? Thank you.

Hi this is Joyce. In regard to a letter in the Speak Out column, a letter from Jesse states that the cemetery is so grown up the thinks the sheriff should get the inmates out there to clean up. Why doesn't he get a bunch of the people who have relatives at the cemetery and go out there and clean some stuff up? Thank you. Bye.

Hi, this is Kim from Milton and I would like to urge our Santa Rosa County commissioners to make the courthouse location about keeping the economically viable point of view in mind for the Santa Rosa County taxpayers. We've been hit with a hard time right now with the economy and I think they should go with the least expensive option if they're insisting on relocating the courthouse or rebuilding it.

This is in reply to Chuck in Wednesday's speak out. Chuck you say you haven't lived here very long and you're very pleased with what Jeff Miller writes in the Press Gazette. He's a politician approaching reelection so we're just hearing words. I'm a Korean veteran and also a Republican. I've voted for him every time he ran. He says what all he's doing for our country and our veterans but try getting anything form him. The last 3 years I've personally hand carried letters to his Pensacola office, and once faxed a letter to his voice in the DC office. My daughter even sent a letter to the Pensacola office. I was asking for help with the VA since he says he's really for the veterans. I haven't heard once from him in 3 years from him. I received a letter from his office asking to vote for him. What he'll get from me and my family and friends is the same I've gotten from him: nothing.

Hi, this is Lynn from Pace. I would just like to know what it's going to take to get the scoreboards working at the PARA ball field. This has been going on since last year, and with the money these parents spend to let their kids play ball there, these children deserve to have working scoreboards. I won't even go into detail about the restrooms or concession stands but I think these kids definitely need to have working scoreboards. Something needs to be done. Thank you.

I've reached a decision about the choices for the new courthouse. I understand there will be two choices, but I'm not sure. Those who oppose the two choices on their ballot, why not just carry a pencil or pen with you and complete a write-in vote if your particular favorite is not on the ballot? At least you would be letting those folks know what your desires are. I'm not sure if it's legal to carry a pen with you. They may not have one. Thanks, bye.
