Republican Club meeting

The Republican Club of Santa Rosa County will hold its next monthly meeting and dutch treat dinner at The Club at Hidden Creek, 3070 PGA Blvd, Navarre at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, May 6.  The featured speaker will be Santa Rosa County Commissioner Jim Melvin.

The Great American Clean Up Saturday

The Great American Clean Up will be in Munson this weekend. Plan to come by Blackwater Baptist Church from 9 a.m. to noon Saturday, April 19, to get a trash bag so you can your family may join in the community spirit by picking up trash along the roads of beautiful Blackwater Forest. A dumpster also will be on site at the church for your trash. For more information, email beckyboundurant@yahoo.com.

12th Annual Jay Pro Rodeo

The 12th annual Jay Pro Rodeo, sponsored by RAM, will be at 8 p.m. April 25-26 at Ted May Arena in Jay. The 3R Rodeo Company will entertain the crowd with rodeo action including pro bull riding, saddle broncing, calf and team roping, steer wrestling, and women's breakaway and barrel racing. For the little ones, there's the calf scramble, free bouncy area and more. Be sure to bring your appetite because there will be plenty of food at the concession stand. Admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children 12 and under. All proceeds benefit area youth programs through the Jay High School Student Government Association and the Ted May Arena. School Board meeting time change

The Santa Rosa District School Board's April meeting will start at 5 p.m. rather than the normal 6:30 p.m. start time April 24. The meeting is to take place at the main School Board Administrative Building located at 5086 Canal St. in Milton.

WestFlorida Community Care Center

West Florida Community Care Center Board meeting will be April 24 at 5500 St. Street, Milton. The full board will convene at 9:30 a.m. in the Treatment Team room. Accommodations can be made upon request for those who are deaf, hard of hearing, or living with disabilities. Call 983-5500 for more information.

Milton/Pace Relay for Life event

The 2014 Relay for Life will be April 25-26 on the grounds of the Milton Pensacola State College Track. The American Cancer Society is very active in Santa Rosa County, and this even provides assistance to help fight the fight.
