SRCSchoolBoard meeting time change
The Santa Rosa District School Board’s April meeting will start at 5:00 p.m. rather than the normal 6:30 p.m. start time on Thursday, April 24, 2014. The meeting is to take place at the main School Board Administrative Building located at 5086 Canal St. in Milton.
Milton Garden Club meeting
April 16 at 11 a.m., Santa Rosa county extension agent Mary Derrick will be talking about mulches. Now that everyone has their new plants from the sale, mulching will help protect them from drying out and weeds. This program is free and open to the public. Coffee will be served. Books Are Fun! Book Fair
On Wednesday, April 16th, from 9 a.m. -3 p.m., the Pensacola State College Library will hold a Books Are Fun! Book Fair at the PSC Student Center (Bldg. 4200). Books, gifts, toys and educational items will be available for purchase at 30%-70% retail. Funds raised at the Book Fair will be used to buy technology enhancements for student use in the library.
WestFlorida Community Care Center
West Florida Community Care Center Board meeting will be held Thursday, April 24 and located at 5500 Stewart Street, Milton. The full board will convene at 9:30 a.m. in the Treatment Team room. Accommodations can be made upon request for those who are deaf, hard of hearing or living with disabilities. Please call 983-5500 for more information.
W.H. Rhodes Elementary
Kindergarten registration for the 2014-2015 school year will be held at W.H. Rhodes Elementary on Tuesday, April 15 from 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., and Wednesday, April 16 from 8 a.m. – 3 p.m. Children must be 5 years of age on or before September 1, 2014. Documents needed to register a child are: birth certificate; State of Florida immunization record, (blue card/second Varicella REQUIRED); State of Florida physical within the past year; child’s social security number and proof of W.H. Milton/Pace Relay for Life Event
The 2014 Relay for Life will be held on the grounds of the Milton Pensacola State College Track on April 25-26. The American Cancer Society is very active in Santa Rosa County and this event provides assistance to help fight the fight. SAFER Santa Rosa Annual meeting
The SAFER Santa Rosa Annual meeting sponsored by Interfaith Ministries is on May 7 from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. Lunch will be served. The location is: 4115 Soundside Drive off of Highway 98.
