According to the Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office, Efrain Parra Hernandez, 26, Navarre, was charged with one count of battery, one count of kidnapping, and one count of obstructing justice. Reports said an officer met with the victim, observing multiple bruises and what appeared to be bite marks on the victim's face, wrist, and arms.
Reports said the victim's story began with Hernandez's arrival home after work at 5:30 p.m. An argument ensued and the victim asked Hernandez to leave, the reports said, but he refused and grabbed the victim by the wrists. Hernandez pushed and spit on the victim, kept the victim from leaving, and threw the victim's phone into a closet. Reports said the victim grabbed Hernandez by the throat to get him off and things soon calmed down. The victim told the officer Hernandez might make good on his threats to burn down the house with the victim inside. The victim told the officer where the victim was going that Hernandez didn't know.
Hernandez has since been arrested by the sheriff's office and is currently being held with no bond.
