New advisory council for city cheerleaders

City of Milton Parks and Recreation has partnered with parents of local cheerleaders coordinating the Cheerleading Advisory Committee.  The advisory committee consists of veteran cheerleaders from previous athletic organization, Santa Rosa Athletic Association.  The committee is working diligently toward a great season.

Anita Wheeler, chair  and Meredith McKnight, co-chair, are leading a group of parents and volunteers with both cheerleaders and football players involved in Milton’s recreation teams, and therefore plan to work hard and stick together.  Mr. John Norton, director of parks and recreation said, “So far the Cheerleading Advisory Council has been very helpful with lightening the load and we look forward to their help in the future.”

For more information or to contact the new advisory committee, visit their Facebook page at Milton Panthers Cheerleading or send an email to miltonpanthercheerleading@gmail.com.
