The United Auto Workers Union (UAW operated by progressive liberal Democrats) recently lost an attempt to unionize the VW plant in Chattanooga, TN. by a vote of 712 to 626. The UAW then came out with a statement saying they will respect the workers vote. That lasted about 24 hours when they released a statement saying they will appeal the vote, which is within their rights. They blamed the vote on a number of changing reasons; republicans, politicians, Volkswagen, race and the civil war. The unions have sucked the blood out of GM, Chrysler and Ford for decades causing them to move plants to Canada and Mexico or if not for a tax payer's bailout ($30 Billion of tax payer's money lost to GM) to fold in the case of GM and Chrysler. Not to mention the retirement agreements lost by retired Delphi workers caused by the GM bankruptcy. The UAW have treated these companies as cash cows and the people now see this, its just a little late because these jobs are gone and won't be back. The UAW and democrats take no responsibility for this or the failing city of Detroit, MI. The last UAW plant to close in the U.S.A. in my memory is the Ford plant in Atlanta, Ga. which opened in 1947 and was a most efficient N. American plant. It closed Oct. 27, 2006. I know people who worked at that plant and they will tell you the UAW cost them their jobs. To this day they still cuss UAW officials when they see them around town. I still own a 1970 Shaker Hood Torino GT built in Atlanta. Thanks for the memories UAW and democrats. They won't be happy until all of America looks like Detroit.
