The good times rolled at the Mardi Gras Parade Thursday night from Milton High School to Regions Bank on Stewart Street. Dazzling in lights and color, floats slowly rolled by, decorating the streets and those in attendance. Milton High School's JROTC team led the way in synchronized marching with the Milton Players bringing up the rear in enormous purple hats and a bright green float. Mainstay Cat Country had plenty of beads to throw as well. The children, of course, had the most fun, catching beads, running into the streets for them, and eating moon pies. Riley Scheel was lucky enough to come away from the parade with a dollar bill. Shawn Scheel, Riley’s father said, "She doesn’t know what to do with it!"
