Dear Editor,
We need programs that reward employers for hiring a homeless person knowing that they may not have the best wardrobe or a way to work.
I started an online petition to President Obama on Change.org as I have been laid off since 2008, age 55, ran out of unemployment benefits in 2010 and been homeless since then. Between my age, being homeless and long-term unemployed, I have not been able to get another steady job. Let us encourage our government to reward employers who gives a homeless person a job.
