Three people have been arrested and charged with drug crimes after deputies say an investigation lead to a pattern of purchases for one ingredient used in the manufacturing of methamphetamine. In addition, according to sheriff’s reports, deputies used a confidential informant and also found items “placed outside on the right-of-way for disposal,” to build their case.
The trio, Buddy Wines, Lisa Williams and Jason Elmore all have addresses on Reinsma Rd., Milton. Reports say they were seen coming out of a home on Reinsma Rd., together, along with a fourth man who was not charged.
Records for the sale of pseudoephedrine locally revealed during the months of September, October and November, Wines made seven purchases; Elmore made six and Williams bought pseudoephedrine five times, according to the arresting deputy. Pseudoephedrine is a key ingredient in the making of methamphetamine and retailers in Florida often record purchases to keep track of potential abuse.
The purchases were made mostly in Pace at Wal-Mart, with a couple in drugs stores located in Milton, reports say.
The deputy’s report says a confidential source reported “they had recently dropped off pseudoephedrine in at this address (Reinsma Rd.) and gave it to a person known only to them as “Buddy”.” In exchange, the source told the deputy Buddy gives them methamphetamine in return.
According to Santa Rosa County jail records, all three were charged on Nov. 19 with the distribution or delivery of drugs with a $50,000 bond set on that charge. In addition, Wines was charged with possession of drugs and possession of drug equipment. His total bond was $65,500. He was released from jail on bond the day after his arrest.
