Pensacola Paradise Regatta benefitting Special Olympics Sailing is Saturday

On Saturday, November 2, Special Olympics Florida – Escambia/Santa Rosa will host the first annual Pensacola Paradise Regatta at Quietwater Beach.

The race begins at 10 a.m. and will include Hobie 16 and Open Catamaran class.

The event includes a silent auction at Pensacola Beach Yacht Club. Proceeds support for the local Special Olympics sailing team. Pensacola Beach Yacht Club – along with members from Navy Yacht Club and Pensacola Yacht Club – will conduct the races and provide expertise and guidance.

Special Olympics Florida provides year round sports training and competition to children and adults with intellectual disabilities, at no cost to the athlete or their caregiver, as a means to achieve physical fitness, self-esteem, socialization skills, and the life skills necessary to be a productive, respected and contributing members of their communities.
