Santa Rosa Adult School receives literacy grant

Florida Blue awarded Santa Rosa Adult School a health literacy grant to provide health instruction in the adult ESOL program.  Instruction will be delivered through the Staying Healthy:  An English Learner’s Guide to Health Care and Healthy Living curriculum.  Low health literacy is linked to an increased rate of disease and mortality and linguistic barriers have been identified as a key contributor to low health literacy.  Florida Blue’s generous donation will help provide the education needed for English language students to live healthier lives.
