WATER QUALITY ADVISORY ISSUED FOR CARPENTER'S PARK IN MILTON

Milton, FL – The Florida Department of Health in Santa Rosa County has issued a water quality advisory for Carpenter's Park on Munson Highway in Milton.  Residents are advised to avoid water related activities at the park due to possible bacteriological contamination from waste water caused by overflow from a manhole at the South entrance to the park.

The health department will begin conducting water quality sampling this morning and "No Swimming" signs will be posted in the affected area.  The advisory will remain in effect until the results of water samples indicate that it is safe to resume water related activities in the area.
