Yeah, this is in regards to the story about the mayor looking into the log trucks driving though Milton.
I just witnessed one turning on to Magnolia Street off Stewart Street and he turned right in front of a car and the car almost hit the logs that were hanging off the back of the trailer.
They're dangerous and they need to stay on the interstate. But DOT hangs out on the interstate and that's why they go through our town and cause all these accidents and stuff cause they're avoiding DOT. And DOT ain't smart enough to realize that they're not on the interstate.

Yes, this is David in Pace. And I see Maria has escaped from Chattahoochee again. She's talking about the log trucks and all this over in Milton and the mayor over there trying to keep the log trucks out of Milton.
I don't think either one of them have any experience in transportation—I have 50 years in it. If it wasn't for the log trucks and all the recycling products that was carried to the paper mill, Maria would not have anything to wipe her mouth with. Thank you.

Hello, this is Dale. It's six-o-clock on a Friday night, and I'm just sitting here wishing I could get a parking place at the Texas Roadhouse. And I'm looking at Skyline Fire Rescue District engine 2202 taking up two full parking places. While evidentially, the firemen are inside enjoying a steak dinner. The deal with these guys showing up for breakfast at some of the breakfast spots has come up before and I guess I didn't really care.
But something about the fire engine parked in front of one of the only night restaurants people go to in this town. I don't know. I think they've got a fire hall, they've got a kitchen and they're on duty. It just don't look right, they're sitting here having a steak dinner on my dime.
I just think they ought to keep their fire truck in the fire hall and do their shift. I'm sorry, I guess I'm just opinionated. Thank you for your time.

Hello, this is Miriam. I believe the decision we made by the city council in reference to rerouting log trucks is too severe and would place a burden on all involved. Instead of banning them, they could enforce a slow speed area for all vehicles in congested areas of Berryhill Road. Thank You.

Yeah, I called in a couple of weeks ago of being very disturbed about what Brenda Tolbert said about the animal shelter. I hope it is being investigated. I heard a couple of years ago, they got so much money for putting pets down. You don't need to publish this if you don't want to. Just investigate. Thank you.

Hello. My name is Dee. I read in your Press Gazette that the county commissioners are talking about increasing our homeowner's tax in order to give workers a pay increase.
Seriously? I can't believe this. Do our commissioners know how many people in Santa Rosa County are out of work. How many are having to take a part-time job instead of a full-time. How many are on a fixed income. I don't think so.
Well, I'm on a fixed income. I've worked all my life. Before I retired, the company I worked for cut our salaries 10 percent just so we would have a job.
What's wrong with everybody else tightening our belts? I'd rather have a job than no job. Everyone wants our government to stop spending. But no one wants to do their part to help. They always want the other guy to do it. It's time we all did it.
Also, in last Wednesday's paper. On the opinion page, on the article floating the idea of a community pool. Come on leaders, what did you not understand about cutting back, tightening the belt and doing without.
I know a lot of people won't agree with this. But you know, I'm just too old to care. Thank you.
