Drake A. Madigan, 21, Shalimar, was injured on June 6 when he hit the back of a 1994 Pontiac driven by Laurie S. Carter, 50, Milton, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Reports say both vehicles were traveling west on Berryhill Rd. near Windham Rd. when the Pontiac stopped for traffic waiting to turn. The cyclist did not stop in time and hit the back of the car. Witnesses say Madigan was thrown over the vehicle and landed on the side of the road. Witnesses say he complained of back and wrist pain at the scene and was transported to Sacred Heart Hospital.
Carter was not injured, according to FHP. Alcohol was not a factor in the crash.
