Bagdad Waterfronts Florida Partnership will be holding a Ground Breaking and Ribbon Cutting ceremony for the 22-acre waterfront park at the historic Old Mill Site in Bagdad. The ceremony will be June 5 at 11 a.m. at the site of the future park on Forsythe St. Construction is set to begin after the ceremony.
Bagdad Waterfronts Florida Partnership is a non-profit community organization that has been working with partners to build a massive park at the Historic Old Mill Site in Bagdad. The site was once the Bagdad Land and Lumber Mill established in the late 1800's. The park will feature informative panels that will educate the public of the historic and ecological significance of the site. The plans for the Mill Site Park include a pavilion; an amphitheater; a multi-use trail; Dog Park; fishing pier; boat dock; and a canoe/kayak launch.
