Author of Baseball in Pensacola to sign his book
Scott Brown will be at the Pensacola Barnes & Noble on Saturday, June 1st, at 1 p.m. to sign copies of his book, “Baseball in Pensacola.” Scott Brown, longtime resident of Pensacola, is president of the Mordecai Brown Legacy Foundation, preserving and sharing the history of a baseball legend. In addition to this book, Scott Brown also created a video documentary that aired on WSRE about baseball in Pensacola.
Pensacola’s favorite mascot, the Blue Wahoo’s Kazoo, will also be at the store the day of the event. Parents need to remember their cameras because Kazoo will be posing for pictures and having fun with all the kids.
The fun starts early the day of the event with a children’s story time featuring “Take Me out to the Ballgame” at 11 a.m. An important ballgame hangs in the balance as two animal teams step up to the plate and vie for victory—all cheered on by Katie Casey, the baseball-loving cat, in our story time book. Baseball-related coloring will follow story time.
