Jerry and Alice are a nice young, happily married couple. Jerry is content with his work life as a jingle writer while Alice is an attorney. They quietly share a small apartment and are growing their lives together. Life could not be better or more peaceful.
Until “they” moved in.
Alice’s father Abe, a retired cab driver whose demeanor is more sarcastic than pleasant needs a place to live. Then, Jerry’s mother Mildred house burns down and has no place to stay – except in her son’s home. She is bossy and self-serving, and has never gotten along with Abe.
What happened to the peace and contentment lifestyle that seemed so promising? This comedy–drama play centers around this newly-formed dysfunctional household, as well as other characters who bounce into scenes as necessary for the storyline to deliver why in-laws should never visit, much less cohabitate, with each other.
