Southern East Spencer Field Road will close for resurfacing on Wednesday, March 27 at 8 p.m. until approximately 5 a.m. on Thursday, March 28.
During that time, southbound traffic on East Spencer Field Road will be detoured to White Road, then south on Santa Rosa Street to U.S. Hwy. 90.
Northbound traffic on East Spencer Field Road from U.S. Hwy. 90 will be guided through the construction zone via flagmen and barricades.
Residents of Briarwood Estates will need to travel north to White Road to reach U.S. Hwy. 90 via the detour route. No delays are anticipated for U.S. Hwy. 90.
Motorists are reminded to observe all posted speed limits and work zone instructions during the night time construction period.
The resurfacing of the southernmost 600 feet of East Spencer Field Road is part of several safety improvements being made to the intersection of East Spencer Field and U.S. Hwy. 90 including the replacement of the existing plastic delineator posts with a permanent lane divider and improved drainage.
The construction began in February and is expected to be complete in May.
The projected is estimated at $155,410 funded by Santa Rosa County.
