Chipley- The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is providing a weekly update on the Avalon Boulevard multilane projects in Milton.
• U.S. 90 to Commerce Road – Crews are completing minor maintenance features along the corridor; seeding and mulching identified areas.
• North of CSX Railroad Bridge to south of Commerce Road – The contractor is performing cleanup measures along the project corridor.
• South of Moors Lodge to CSX Railroad – Construction activities continue for the new southbound roadway. Workers are forming/placing concrete for sidewalk. Crews continue demolition of the existing bridge. No planned lane closures at this time. Estimated completion winter 2013.
• I-10 to south of the Moors Lodge – Construction activities continue for the new northbound roadway. Crews are working on installation of stormdrain pipe and structures and will begin grooving the new northbound bridge deck. Estimated completion winter 2014.
