Shortly before 8:00 this morning, 37-year-old Aaegiean E. Brown escaped from a work release program located near the intersection of Fairfield and “L” Street. Brown had just been informed that he was being charged with escape stemming from an incident which occurred on March 20, in which he failed to report to his assigned location. At this time Brown, who was in handcuffs, fled and jumped into a nearby awaiting vehicle.
Within minutes, Escambia Sheriff’s Deputies located Brown and the driver, identified as Carvin Sanders, 37, a short distance away. The passenger was also located but has not been charged.
