At approximately 6:00 Friday, Escambia County Sheriff's deputies responded to a suspicious vehicle at a drugstore on North 9th Avenue.  When they arrived, they say they found Jason Claude Ward, 32, of Milton inside.  Deputies discovered the car has been reported stolen on March 9.  Deputies say when they were taking Ward’s belongings from inside the stolen vehicle a bag containing items commonly used to make methamphetamine was found.

Ward was charged with possession of a listed chemical with intent to manufacture a controlled substance; producing methamphetamine; trafficking in methamphetamine over 14 grams. He was jailed under a $65,000 bond.
