Visit aboard virtual aircraft carrier Ambition

As part of the Naval Aviation Museum Foundation’s Discovery Saturday series, Chip Yarbrough, National Flight Academy program director, and Dr. Dave Dawson, University of West Florida & National Flight Academy Chief Learning Agent, will take you aboard the National Flight Academy’s virtual aircraft carrier, Ambition, at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 16.

They will present the National Flight Academy’s unique educational and professional development programs that are revolutionizing the way we learn. Following the presentations, the “ship” will come to life and attendees will be able to take a special behind-the-scenes tour of the Ambition. Come aboard and see first-hand this fully immersive aviation-themed learning facility where young people in grades 7-12 engage in a comprehensive Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM), five and a half day residential, learning experience. Professional Development programs provide the same high impact, engaging experiences for adults seeking to improve their workplace skills.   Discovery Saturday is FREE and open to the public. The National Flight Academy is located adjacent to the National Naval Aviation Museum on NAS Pensacola.  Visitors are asked to enter the main entrance of the Museum where they will be directed to the National Flight Academy facility for Discovery.   More info: www.NavalAviationMuseum.org;  or 850-453-2389.
