Navarre – A 31-year-old man died from multiple gunshot wounds early Thursday.
Philip Craig Davenport was pronounced dead at his home in the 9000 block of Larker Woods Drive, according to a Santa Rosa County Sheriff's Office news release.
A call came in to the Sheriff's Office from Davenport's home just after midnight about suspicious activity outside the residence, according to Deputy Richard Aloy, a spokesman for the Sheriff's Office.
When they arrived at the home, deputies found Davenport and began an extensive search of the area with K-9 units.
No arrests had been made as of 8:15 a.m. and Aloy said they hadn't identified any suspects yet.
The case is currently under investigation.
