Bagdad Arts and Antiques Faire Bagdad is Saturday

A full day of music, food, activities – even a dog show – awaits visitors to the third annual St. Patrick's Arts and Antiques Faire in Bagdad on Saturday. Held from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., the day begins with an Old Fashioned Sawmill breakfast – cooked in the open air: sausage, pancakes, juice, biscuits & gravy and coffee all for $7.  Admission is free.

The Faire is being held at the Bagdad Community Center. Events and activities include art, crafts, and Antique Dealer'sDog Show with a 10 a.m. registration and a $5 entry fee – first prize is $50, $20 second prize at the dog show. The dogs in the dog show/parade are judged for costume and cuteness (demeanor), and an Irish theme is encouraged.  There are three different weight classes. Some new children's activities this year are cabbage bowling, and planting with the Santa Rosa County Master Gardeners. 

There will be a vintage car and motorcycle show. Music will flow: every hour, a new band will entertain the crowd with a variety on the Shamrock stage.

Children’s activities include crafts, face painting, balloon animals, train rides, food vendors and ice cream.

Proceeds will benefit the new 21 acre Bagdad Mill Site Park, at the union of Pond Creek and Blackwater River.For information, call 983-7918.
