Car rear-ends school bus on I-10

A driver following a school bus on Interstate 10 struck the back of the bus Tuesday morning when she was distracted by a cup of coffee, according to the Florida Highway Patrol No students were injured in the resulting crash. The Florida Highway Patrol (FHP) says Bobbie T. Green, 47, Milton, was driving the bus headed for Capstone Academy in Milton around 8 a.m. The bus was traveling east, just east of Ward Basin Road on I10. Behind the bus was behind a 1995 Honda Accord drive by Frances L. Davis, 61, Pensacola, also traveling east. Reports say Davis was distracted inside the vehicle by a cup of coffee, causing the Honda to strike the back of the school bus. Six students and a rider on the bus, Shawn Carter, 42, Milton, were not hurt. Davis is reported to have minor injuries. Davis was charged with careless driving, according to FHP. Reports say Green was not at fault.
