PENSACOLA — Seven new members will be inducted into the University of West Florida Athletics Hall of Fame on Friday, Jan. 25, in the annual hall of fame banquet at Scenic Hills Country Club. On Saturday, Jan. 26, the Argonaut basketball teams will host Christian Brothers in Gulf South Conference play at the UWF Field House. The women’s game will tip off at 2 p.m., and the men’s game will follow at 4 p.m. There will be a reception with the hall of fame inductees between games, and they will then be honored at halftime of the men’s game. This year, the Argonaut Scholarship Golf Tournament is Friday, April 5, at Scenic Hills. More details about the golf tournament will be announced at a later date. This year’s hall of fame class features six former student-athletes from six different teams, as well as one special achievement honoree. They are Peter Antoske, baseball; Michelle Gibson, women’s basketball; Sarah Nicholson, women’s golf; Kevin Warrick, men’s golf; Radovan Chrz, men’s tennis; Ewell Howard, special achievement; and Stephen Simmons, men’s soccer.
