Sunday, 6:40 a.m. Yes, I’m calling in reference to the public transportation. Whether people realize it or not, these folks need this public assistance because there’s people that use this transportation for dialysis, to get groceries. Our elderly have no way to get around. They don’ thave vehicles, they’re not allowed to drive no more, nor do they need to drive. These covered buildings and spending money on turtle farms and this, that and the other, you know, they need to think about the senior citizens of Florida because that’s what makes Florida — that is Florida. Let’s think about our senior citizens that made this place what it is and take care of them and get them to their doctors appointments and take care of them or there is going to be no more Santa Rosa County. So let’s take care of the folks that raised us and taught us right from wrong. OK? Thank you.
Monday, 11:55 p.m. If you want a great deal for Christmas, shop at your local Pace TJ Maxx.
Tuesday, 7:10 p.m. Yes, this is Maria. Right now I’m watching “Charlie Brown Christmas.” It’s relaxing to stay away from the sad news for a little while. I think watching Charlie Brown in memory of all these children is very nice. It’s a very nice cartoon. I know I’m an old lady, but I still enjoy Charlie Brown at home with all my grandchildren. They think it’s funny. If I don’t call them, they call to remind me. Thank you to Speak Out, and Merry Christmas, a safe Christmas and a Happy New Year. See you next year! Good night.
Tuesday, 9:33 p.m. Hello, this is Chet. This time of year, we always see Gretchen Carlson on FOX News talking about there’s a war on Christmas and a war on Christianity. Well, I wouldn’t say that some atheist nut job some place in the county that wants to get rid of a nativity scene is a war. If you really want to see a war on religion, if you went back to Inquisition, that would be a war on religion right there. But anyway, the real war on Christmas would come from the Bible verse of Jeremiah, 10: 3-4. Therein lies the problem, and there’s the war on Christmas there. Thank you.
Tuesday, 9:48 p.m. Yes, this is Chet again. I just wanted to add something to my message. I read E.R. McCormick’s section about the Christmas parade, and he’s absolutely right. It’s the work of Stan. It is. It’s all Stan.
Wednesday, 9:33 a.m. Hi, this is Lee. I don’t mean to sound insensitive about any of the shootings that’s happened over the past couple of months, especially Friday’s shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary, but there does come a time when we need to quit discussing it as much as in the paper, on Facebook, the news media. Let the families mourn. It was a very tragic, tragic thing that happened to them. I pray about them every single day; I think about them every single day. But there does come a time when parents and famlies need to mourn them and not have to look on the computer, TV, Facebook and see pictures of their children. And also, with the parents that are now talking about home-schooling their children, think what you’re thinking about here. You’re taking you children out of an environment that they’re used to. Social skills will go down. Just make sure your child knows what is expected of them if something like that was to happen to them. Schools are becoming more protective, so they are going to become more safer. Thank you.
Wednesday, 3:16 p.m. Yeah, this is Emily, and I was calling to comment on Tim’s comment on the Chumuckla Redneck Parade. I agree that it should be moved back to Sunday, but what I want to know is why was everything jumbled up into one weekend when we still had two weekends left to go? I just don’t understand that. It’s like we have everything on one weekend and then nothing for the next two. I don’t understand. Thanks.
Wednesday, 8:51 p.m. Yeah, this is Billy. I’d lke to say that I like the new app that the sheriff’s office has got for your phone. And I always like the Jail View site they got on the Internet. But my problem is the people aren’t putting the offenses in that people are arrested for. I think it’s nice that we can get to that information, I just would like to know what the people’s offenses are, and I wish the people that are entering the info would do a better job. Thank you.
Thursday, 9:11 a.m. Yeah, I was reading the paper from across the county there, other county over there, the mullet wrapper, and I see that the rifle company that made the rifles, the company sellin’ it is getting out of the business. Let’s look at the kid and what he did. I mean, I feel sorry for his victims at the school, but what did this kid do? He read books; he played video games. What video games did he play? Was he killing people in these video games? We have gone with a society that puts video games of killing people, running over people, all kinds of stuff, in the hands of these youths. And then we say it’s the fault of the guns. No, it’s parents’ fault. We ned to get back to our morals. Thank you.
