Chumuckla will once again be the hot spot this December if you are looking for a lot of country music and country culture.
The BonfireJam is ready to light up Northwest Florida with a weekend full of activities so you can release your INNER COWBOY.
Last year the jam offered attendees one day of fun, but there will be so much to do they had to divide the musical talent and fun into two days.
Headlining this year’s concert will be Clint Black and Gretchen Wilson on Saturday, Dec. 8, following the 2012 Chumuckla Redneck Parade.
But Friday, Dec. 7, a new twist has been added with the BonfireJam Shootout, a Bull Ridin' and Championship Calf Roping Competition.
The calf roping will get underway at 1 p.m. on Friday and feature the largest calf roping purse east of the Mississippi River. Add to that at 7 p.m. will be the bull riding and pyro show with 2012 AMA and CMA nominee Jana Kramer taking to the stage at 9 p.m.
But Saturday will feature not only the fun and frivolity of the Chumuckla Redneck Parade, but country superstar Clint Black and the Redneck Woman Gretchen Wilson.
This year the parade will get under way at 1 p.m. followed by the concert gates opening at 3 p.m. and Clint Black @ 6P & Gretchen @ 8P.“We want to make this another world-class event that is a good value for the people,” said Bonfire Jam organizer Joe Lewis. “Once again, just as last year, it will be another day of country culture and country music.
“And we have to thank everyone who is involved locally making this happen. This wouldn’t be possible if it were not for those like the local media, Santa Rosa Medical Center, MediaCom, Hill-Kelly Dodge, Budwesier – and the Santa Rosa County Chamber of Commerce.”
Tickets are still available for both days with a single day general admission ticket starting at under $20 and a two-day ticket package starting at under $30.
“We have premium seats still available so you can enjoy that up-close and personal feel,” said Sunny Moulder, promotions director for the BonfireJam. “But we also have Jam Boxes available that will give those at the concert that special VIP treatment.”
Jam Boxes are elevated above the crowd, heated and seat eight. Those who are seated at these “Jam Boxes” will also have access to the VIP Hospitality Tent and Complimentary food and beverage.
Back by popular demand this year will be the dance floor and one lucky group will enjoy the concert if their float is selected as the "Best Float" during the Chumuckla Redneck Parade.
“Again this year, the Redneck parade will start at Gin Road working its way South on County Road 182, ending up at Salter Road,” Lewis said. “There were no traffic issues experienced last year, but we also hope people understand when you are in the country, it will take some time for traffic to move.”
