Toys for Tots applications are now being accepted

United Way of Santa Rosa County and the Marine Corps Reserves have once again teamed up for the Toys for Tots holiday toy drive. Applications are currently being accepted at three locations in Santa Rosa County as this year’s drive strived to help struggling families across Northwest Florida. Individuals can apply at the United Way of Santa Rosa County offices in Milton, the Early Learning Coalition offices in Gulf Breeze and the Jay Town Hall in Jay. To apply you must reside in Santa Rosa County, the children must be between the ages of one to 14, and the family must meet the 2012 Federal Poverty Level income requirements. Those seeking to apply for assistance must bring the following documentation: • Valid Photo ID (driver's license, college ID, etc.) • Proof of Residence if not on ID (utility bill in client's name, government letters) • Proof of Income (check stub, bank statement, letter of determination from government) • Proof of Each Child's Age (birth certificate, shot record stating birth date, letter from school) Toys will be distributed to families in need on Dec. 17 – Dec. 19 in Santa Rosa County. Distribution site locations and times will be given to clients upon application approval. If you would like to donate to Toys for Tots, boxes will be at locations such as Toys R Us and Walmarts so you can drop off your donation of a new, unwrapped toy into the box. For a full list of box location, visit www.pensacola-fl.toysfortots.org.
