Early Tuesday afternoon emergency personel responded to a fire near the intersection of Black Gate Rd. and Diana St. in East Milton.
Preliminary reports indicate the fire involved a home and a nearby trailer.
At last report fire fighters have the blaze 95 percent contained.
One bystander indicated they heard a couple of pops like a 22-caliber going off followed by a boom.
Another bystander stated they could see the smoke when they were on Highway 87 in Navarre.
There were two elderly residents in the home at the time of the fire who are not being identified at this time.
Both were safely gotten out of the home and were treated by Lifeguard Ambulance Service at the scene.
it is unknown at this time if they will be transported for further treatment.
